LESSONS FROM PHILLIPIANS: Terrified by fear?

And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.  Philippians 1:28 KJV

I must not be afraid, for fear is not from God, it is merely:

F false

E evidence

A appearing

R real

Women are usually terrified by adversities. Some panic, have anxiety, are frightened, etc.

As a believer, you have authority over fear, for God did not give you the spirit of fear. Fear, when given privilege, opens the door to the devil to fully carry out His intention in your life.

The antidote to fear is keeping your eyes focused on Jesus, remember Peter that while looking toward Christ he was able to walk upon the waters, but the moment he took his eyes off Christ, he began to sink, so also, when a believer takes her eyes off Christ and focuses it on her present circumstance, she will begin to sink. For example, depression comes as we take our sight off Jesus and focus it on what is facing us.

Note this, you cannot hold on to fear and hold on to faith at the same time, they are the opposite of each other. Fear paralyses, but faith keeps you strong.

1John4:18-19 says; There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.  We love him, because he first loved us.

The above scripture is a great antidote against fear, fear brings torment, but perfect love in Christ casts away fear.
