And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. Gen2:18 –
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Gen3:15-16
Women are very significant both in God’s hands and in the hands of the devil; it was the woman that the enemy came through to bring the man down. It was women that were singing “Saul killed his thousand, David his ten thousand”.
It was a woman- the wise woman of Abel Maca that stopped Joab from bringing down the wall of the city. It was a woman (Bathsheba) that Nathan called to resolve the matter of kingship in the time of David. It was a woman (wise woman of Tekoa) that Joab employed to go in to David and intercede for Absalom. God asked for the women to be called for in Jeremiah 17 (Wailing women). It was a woman that God sought for, for the Messiah to be born in human form. Women were part of the people that the Jews stirred up to persecute Paul and Barnabas in Acts13:50.
Ever before God brought her into the scene in the beginning, He pre made for her all she would need for life and godliness (husband, garden, 4 rivers, gold, plant to sight see, plants to eat etc), yet, the female gender are malnourished both physically and spiritually; many are living below God’s standard for womanhood.
More so, women are facing injustice across the nations, even girls have suffered huge setbacks both in acquiring the gospel and education. Women have been physically and emotionally molested even in a place that was meant to be safe for them.
Many females; both old and young are victims of abuse; many are raped, abused over and over again. Some are still under domestic violence, and many have lost their identity and dignity as women.
Why?
One of the reasons is because there was a word the Lord spoke to the serpent concerning the woman since the fall of Adam and Eve, the serpent is fighting tooth and nail to make sure he has the upper hand over the woman.
How?
This is shown in the word of the Samaritan woman in John 4:9 which says “Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? For the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.”
The issues to this woman were:
i. Me: Her personality, the self life.
ii. A woman: Her gender, the nature of women
iii. Of Samaria: Her race. Her caste (upper and lower caste), poor or rich, educated or uneducated, famous and infamous.
Some class women as second class citizens or the woe of man. Women from different parts of the world are tagged with diverse behaviours and traits. Some believe that women from a particular part of the world hardly settle into a matrimony etc.
To many female gender, the word “woman” is a stereotype, but God had her in mind. Ever before her creation, God provided all she needed prior to her creation, and brought her in at the set time; when she was needed.
Dear reader, God has you in His mind. He has a plan, you are not a mistake.
