Are you like this birdie?

Are you like this birdie?

Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Just look at this little birdie that was running for his dear life for approximately three minutes before he took the gap and got out of the way…

What are you struggling with today?

The question is not really what are you running from… but rather what or WHOM are you running towards?

The issues of life are chasing so many of us from dawn to dusk and we are tired… tired of running!

Are we running towards a solution or should we change our tactic and consider going to the giver of the solutions?  Let’s consider this picture of this bird trying so hard not to be run over this morning and consider our daily routines and strategies for running this race called life.

We have a gift (in the case of this bird, the gift is wings, but for us it is CHRIST) but if we don’t tap into the Gift, if we never use the gift of Christ in us, can we ask the question, how effective am I for Christ, how effective am I today with regards to my MAIN mission on earth which would in turn also give me rest & peace for my soul?

Lord, I want to mount up with wings EVERYDAY, not just on Sundays or days when I gather with other believers… and when the time comes when there are obstacles above me and I need to run, then I will have the strength to run and not get weary because I’ve rested and were refreshed in the rising air current whilst soaring high with You.

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

It’s interesting that one of the two highest flying birds pieces are endangered… the Ruppell’s Griffon vulture which as been spotted flying the same height as a coasting commercial airplane at 37,000 feet!

There is indeed famine in the land, just like these birds… where are God’s soaring children?

There are less and less people making it a priority to soar themselves and would rather opt to fly in an aeroplane where someone else takes the steering wheel… we would rather listen to other Church leaders because it’s the safe option and everyone else are following that direction?

May we let God help us to rise up and fly and not be a passenger for the rest of our lives and let God steer us in the direction He wants for us.

Have a blessed day ladies
