COMFORTED TO COMFORT OTHERS

What came to my mind was the scripture in 2Cor 1:4, which says “Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.”

Out of the comfort that I received of the Father, I passed it on to others. Of myself I cannot comfort anyone, but with Christ in me, He comforts many and He comforts me too.

Is that not amazing to see the Lord comfort us daily and we in turn comfort others? There are many women in our churches sitting comfortless, and unfortunately, these women turn to the world to get comfort.

Many of us have been unable to comfort others because we are hurting, while some of us do not really know how to go about comforting others.

Christ desires to comfort others through you.

Think back to a discomfort that you experienced, a discouragement regarding your siblings, parents, spouse, colleagues etc. and how God quietly brought you comfort by either resolving the issue or giving you peace in the midst of it all. Go, also and comfort others, our world needs comforters; comforters that have received “The Comforter”

It is the longing of God to daily make me and you His Ambassador of Comfort to others. May you be sensitive to those who need God’s comfort, so that you can act timely. Look out also for those seeking comfort outside Christ, and let God send you to them so they can discover the God of all comforts. Amen.
