Living within the Covenant of Grace Community

LOften time, many Christian women do not know that there is a lifestyle expected of them as Christians. Sometimes, we quote scriptures to promote our choices, yet, if we will live within God’s covenant of Grace community, we must operate within His terms and condition.

Ruth, having journeyed with Naomi to Bethlehem Judah, left her Moabite lifestyle in Moab and embraced a new life in Bethlehem Judah. She took permission to go and glean in the field. She had to go to the field of Boaz and glean with the reapers.

This is a great challenge for ladies in the church. Many come to church, but their life outside church is lived outside God’s laws. Some separate their lives into different parts, their life at church is different from their life at home or at work, yet the Christian life is meant to be ONE LIFE, with ONE WAY, and ONE GOD. What you are at church is what you ought to be at home or at work.

Ruth immersed herself into all life meant in Bethlehem Judah, her friendships and close relationships would have to be within this community.

Again, this is a great challenge, many ladies in church will sing, dance, and worship in church, but when they need practical counsel, they will go to those outside the church to glean their way of doing things.

If you are going to be a successful Christian, you must be willing to live life within God’s code of conduct.

You must choose with care the maidens with whom you glean, for after all, ‘Birds of the same feather flock together’ Who are those that you engage with outside church, who or where do you take your counsel from? Where do you learn how to dress from? If you are a single woman, who are those shaping your world view? Are you a young married woman, a mother, or an older woman, whichever one you are, who are your friends? Are they people who live life according to the scriptures? The way to live as a woman of God is all written down for us in the Bible. Any friendship that takes you outside of God’s Word in all your choices is a friendship that is leading you away from  God’s way to live, which. is lived within God’s Covenant of Grace Community.

Ponder the path of your feet, And let all your ways be established.  Proverbs 4:26 NKJV

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2Cor 5:17 NKJV
