Looking at our generation, I can tell you that we live in a generation of horseleach daughters, a generation that ask, “Give, Give!” People are seeking for ways out here and there. Our world seeks for something to give them a quick solution, and if such a one in need comes your way in this New year, do you have anything to offer them? There is a saying that go like this; “What you don’t have, you can’t give”
If there is anything you ought to receive this year from God, it is His inerrant WORD. You must settle down at God’s feet to receive His Word from His Mouth.
Take a few moments aside daily with your Bible, your pen and notebook to take notes from God’s Mouth daily this year, because you are not only receiving for yourself but also for others.
There are young girls, young mothers, young families that are crying give, give. These and many groups of people are seeking for answers for many issues of life, for some it is about child upbringing, health issues, career choice, housing need etc. Yet, all life difficulties find their answers inside the written word of God. If you devote yourself to God’s word for your personal life, you will find out that you will be able to give the same to others that comes your way. I have found it easier to counsel and advise people from what the Lord has shared with me before hand for my personal life.
Are you going to commit yourself to daily sit at the feet of Jesus this year, that you might receive His word for yourself and for those that might come your way?
Remember that there are many that are crying give, give. Therefore, take the time to engage in God’s word for your very life, and in turn, you can give to those who may be crying “GIVE, GIVE” to you.
