I was studying the above verse a few days ago, and I was quite amazed at the depth of riches that is behind the scriptures.
Deliverance from the devil, healing/miracles are just by-products of God’s Kingdom that has come upon a life. But how often the focus is on the fringe benefits; the healing, miracle or deliverance, which brings us to neglecting or not being conscious of the fact that it is God’s Kingdom that has come upon such a life, and the goal of this visitation is to bring salvation, for deliverance, healing with no salvation is still futile.
God has often come in trickles of Revivals; stories of God’s miracles are shared every now and then, but how many people try to tie down or subject themselves to God’s Kingdom that has come?
The take home is that, every time someone is delivered or healed, there is actually a greater force behind that, which is the Kingdom of God.
May the Lord give you eyes to see beyond miracles, healings or deliverances, and may He enable you to see behind the scene, and to see that miracles are mere by-products of the Kingdom of God that has come.
May our focus no longer be on the fringe benefits, but rather on Him who has decided to come and take His pace in our lives. Amen.
